Neteller
Only credit card payments include an additional 2% commission when depositing. The other payment methods have no charges. Deposits made usually take up to 30 minutes to reflect.
Withdrawal fees are waived by LCG, but traders need to contact their payment providers to ensure that there are no fees waived by them that the trader will be liable for.
Withdrawals using any of the specified payment methods can take up to one working day to reflect.
LCG Cost and Fees, Commissions and Spreads
The cost of trading depends on different factors like commissions, spreads, and margins.
The spread of a currency pair is the difference between the bid and the asking rate. A pip represents the smallest increment that an exchange rate can move. One pip is 0.01 for currency pairs with JPY as the term currency and 0.0001 for all other pairs.
Margin is the amount of money required in your account in order to open a position. Margin is calculated based on the current price of the base currency against USD, the size (volume) of the position, and the leverage applied to your trading account.
Commissions are the charges imposed by an investment broker on a trader for making trades on the trader’s behalf. The level of commissions will vary between different brokers and depends on the asset being traded and the type of service offered by the broker.
Execution-only brokers, that is a broker that does not involve in any personal investment advice and gives traders complete control over how they trade the markets, tend to have lower commissions.
Contract for differences (CFDs) trading, a popular form of derivative trading that enables traders to speculate on the rising or falling prices of fast-moving global financial markets, will incur a commission on shares.
CFD trades on other markets have no commission but do wrap a spread around the market price of a certain instrument.
LCG offers numerous markets which have tight spreads and very low commissions on not only share CFD trade and margin requirements but also additional monthly cash rebates.
LCG charges trading costs through the spread, but should a trader make use of guaranteed stop losses, there is a premium that will be charged to the trader’s account.
The spreads are not cheap, but they are competitive and depending on the market conditions, traders with an ECN account will find lower spreads. The spreads also differ depending on the trading platform used.
The LCG website offers a section that is dedicated to the layout of trading instruments and the various spreads for both the Classic CFD trading and the ECN account.
ECN Accounts require a maintained balance of US Dollar 10 000 in the trader’s account and there is a commission of US Dollar 45 per US Dollar 1 000 000 traded.
LCG Leverage
The facility that enables a trader to get a much larger exposure to the market than the amount he or she deposited to open a trade, is called leverage. Such leveraged products magnify a trader’s potential profit – but of course, also increase the potential loss.
The amount of leverage is expressed as a ratio, for instance, 50:1, 100:1, or 500:1. Assuming that a trader has US Dollar 1,000 in his or her trading account and is trading ticket sizes of 500,000 USD/JPY, that leverage will equate to 500:1.
LCG is registered in the UK and Cyprus, which means the company complies with the set of rules established and concluded by the European regulatory body ESMA.
However, LCG uses a dynamic leverage model instead of having fixed leverage levels. The leverage model can be used on both platforms on offer.
The leverage is automatically adapted according to the trading position of the trader.
LCG’s leverage level is determined by a tier system, which ranges from Tier 1 to Tier 4. The more exotic the pair and the higher the tier, the lower the maximum leverage level will be.
This is due to compliance requirements and the protection of traders.
Each trading instrument has a leverage level which is worked out according to the margin group and the Tier Level. Bonds and rates work according to a maximum leverage level of 1:1000.
LCG Bonuses
Forex brokers tend to lure new traders with offers of attractive deposit bonuses. This can be useful, but it is essential to discern what a proper bonus is.
Such a bonus is but a way to compensate traders for choosing a certain broker since once the account is opened, the trader will have the same expenses as any other.
The bonus is just a reward for the trader’s choice that gives some of these expenses back to the trader, once proving himself as an active trader.
Moreover, since 1 August 2018 The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) has placed investor protection measures on the marketing, distribution, or sale of CFDs to retail clients.
These prevent brokers from directly or indirectly providing the retail client with a payment, monetary or excluded non-monetary benefit in relation to the marketing, distribution, or sale of a CFD, other than the realized profits on any CFD provided.
This means that a Deposit Bonus is not currently applicable to retail clients.
There is no indication on LCG’s website that it gives bonuses to its clients.
LCG Trading Platforms, Software, and its Features
The forex trading software provided by a broker company to its clients is called the platform and is used to carry out their trades.
A platform can be a multi-asset one, which means that it allows clients to not only trade forex but also other asset classes like CFDs on stocks, stock indices, precious metals, and cryptocurrencies.
The decision about which platform to choose will depend on what a client would like to trade, therefore it will be one of the criteria when choosing a broker too.
LCG offers traders a choice between two trading platforms, namely LCG Trader and Metatrader4.

LCG Customer Reviews
I enjoy using the MT4 platform on LCG
I enjoy using the MT4 platform on LCG. Everything works perfectly on the Demo system. I had no problem loading a custom indicator. I was pleased that the feed didn’t ‘drop out’ at busy times as happened often on another company I tried. I also liked the fact that I can start trading at 10p per pip and don’t feel pressured to bet too high too soon. I’m quite happy with the whole experience.
I have been with LCG for many years
I have been with LCG for many years. I must admit that general customer service is a little slower than other providers. However, Damian who helped me in recent months is always given a response within 5 minutes and helped me with all my queries straight away. Damian should earn 5 stars. But as a general, I gave 4 stars to the company.
LCG leads the way
I have traded spread betting for over 20 years now and I can honestly say that LCG is one if not the best company to trade with.
Why? many reasons. Their spreads are the lowest I have come across. The tighter the spread the more money you make.
They have an excellent variety of trading platforms, e.g. web trader, MT4, and mobile apps with great features and fast execution.
If you are a beginner/new to trading besides trying a demo account you can have a live account with as little as saying £180 and trade for just 10p per point.
The larger firms require around £875 to trade their minimum stake on my chosen instrument.
Also, their customer service is 2nd to none, I have to mention my account manager Damian Reed who has been very helpful over the years in setting things up and addressing any questions. I get a courtesy call/email every few months which none of the other major companies have ever done.
Conclusion
Overall, LCG offers traders the MetaTrader suite of platforms as well as a basic web and mobile app. London Capital Group (Cyprus) Limited is registered in Cyprus and authorized and regulated by the CySEC.
