  • Crest Homes is founded in 1963 by Bryan Skinner. In 1968 it starts trading on the London Stock Exchange as Crest Nicholson Holdings plc and a year later En-Tout-Cas, a tennis court construction company, is purchased. Crest buys an earth moving business from Tony Pidgley in 1971.

  • Crest Securities is created in 1972. The same year the company buys Camper & Nicholsons, a yacht manufacturer, and changes its name to Crest Nicholson.

  • Several more businesses are purchased during the next few years, including Lamson Engineering, Crofton, CH Pearce and Greenwood Electronics.

  • In 2007 Sit Tom Hunter and a HBOS consortium buys Crest for a price of £ 715 million and it becomes a private company.

  • In 2013 it is listed on the London Stock Exchange.
