? Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling Company is a non-alcoholic drinks bottler company and a bottling partner of the Coca-Cola Company.

? The Coca-Cola Company supplies concentrates, syrups and bases while bottling partners such as Coca-Cola Hellenic manufacture, package and distributes Coca-Cola products. It is the third largest Coca-Cola anchor bottler in the world and one of the largest non-alcoholic bottlers in Europe.

? Its portfolio offers nearly 200 well-known brands such as Coca-Cola, Fanta, Sprite, water, tea, juices, energy drinks etc.

? The company’s products are offered to approximately 600 million people in 28 countries including Cyprus, Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland, Greece, Romania, Poland, Slovenia and Hungary.

? Coca-Cola Hellenic supplies more than 2 billion cases annually in these countries. It has 52 plants, 257 filling lines and 148 warehouse and distribution centres.

? Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling Company is a constituent of the FTSE 100 Index.

? The company employs more than 31 000 people and is headquartered in Zug, Switzerland. 


  • In 1886 John S Pemberton creates Coca-Cola. By 1895 the product can be purchased across the United States in every state. Benjamin Thomas and Joseph Whitehead buy the rights to bottle the Coca-Cola product for a price of US Dollar 1.00 in 1899.

  • In 1969 the Hellenic Bottling Company SA is incorporated in Greece. In 1981 a private holding company, Kar-Tess Holdings SA buys a 99.9 percent interest in Hellenic.

  • Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling Company lists on the Athens Exchange in 1991. In 2000 Hellenic buys Coca-Cola Beverages Ltd and the Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling Company SA is created.

  • A year later the company buys the Russian Coca-Cola operations.

  • It is listed on the New York Stock Exchange. Switzerland and Romania’s mineral water companies, Valser and Apemin, as well as bottling operations in the Baltics are purchased during 2002.

  • During the next few years the company buys several bottling companies and expands its portfolio to Serbia, Russia, Hungary, Italy and several other locations.

  • Data analysis for the company’s financial results for the six months ending 28 June 2019 reports a net sales revenue of € 3,352.4 million. Net sales revenue per unit case is € 3.07. Operating profit (EBIT) is € 288.9 million. Comparable EBIT is € 325.1 million.

  • Net profits are € 195.1 million.

  • Basic earnings are € 0.536 per share and comparable EPS is € 0.612 per share. Free cash flow is € 79.3 million.
