? Capital & Counties specializes in selective development, asset management and strategic investments in the United Kingdom.

? Its portfolio includes the popular Covent Garden and Earls Court estates. Covent Garden offers retail stores such as Kent & Curwen, Petersham Nurseries, Chanel, Charlotte Tilbury, Mulberry, Apple and more than 100 other brands in its 1.2 million square feet and 79 buildings.

? It also offers several high-end restaurants. More than 40 million customers visit Covent Garden every year. Earl’s Court is valued at £ 0.6 billion and creates thousands of jobs and business opportunities. It is known for its 7.5 acres of green spaces.

OVERVIEW OF CAPITAL & COUNTIES PROPERTIES PLC

  • Capital & Counties plc is incorporated in 1933. The company quickly expands by buying property and adds locations in London as well as surrounding areas to its portfolio.

  • The company and Transatlantic Holdings plc merges in 1992 and is renamed Liberty International Holdings. The company buys Covent Garden Market and Piazza in 2006. Properties in the surrounding area is also purchased.

  • In 2007 it buys 50 percent interest in Earls Court & Olympia and the remaining interests a few years later.

  • In 2010 Capital & Counties Property demerges from Liberty International and is renamed Capital & Counties Properties PLC.

  • In 2013 it buys 50 percent of the Empress State Building from Land Securities for a price £ 117 million. Capital & Counties buys a block on Bedford Street for a price of £ 68 million. The transaction totals the company’s Covent Garden acquisitions for the year at £ 167 million.

  • During the next couple of years, the company buys several property which expands its portfolio considerably, including Tower House for a price of £ 67.5 million, as well as The Wellington Portfolio, which comprises of more than 52 000 square feet.

  • In 2018 Capital & Counties sells the Empress State Building for a price of £ 250 million.

  • Equity attributable to owners of the Parent is £ 2,644 million, 310.5p per share. Property market value is £ 3,210 million. Net rental income is £ 32.1 million. Dividends are 0.5p per share.
