  • In 1984 Capita plc is created as a division of Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy, a non-profit organization.

  • In 2006 it becomes a constituent of the FTSE 100 Index. In 2011 it buys a customer contact specialist company, Ventura, for a price of £ 65 million.

  • The Fire Service College from the Department for Communities and Local Government is purchased in 2013 for a price of £ 10 million.

  • In 2015 Capita buys a German call center company named Avocis.

  • During the next two years it buys Orange Bus and NYS Corporate, adding digital integration as well as travel and events agency to its portfolio.

  • Capita quickly expands during these years and becomes the successful company that it is today.
