ABOUT BWX
BWX Limited is an Australia-owned global, natural beauty company with a history dating back to 1993, when Leisure & Hospitality Service (LHS) was first founded in order to develop and produce beauty and personal care products for third party clients.
In 2001 Beautiworx was founded to formulate and develop these products for external clients, and in 2007 LHS partnered with Sukin to develop proprietary formulations.
By 2010 Sukin was available in 10 countries, and in 2013 BWX Limited was incorporated. In 2015 the company made the decision to purchase Sukin, its flagship brand, and by November of that year the company became listed on the Australian Securities Exchange.
OVERVIEW OF BWX
-
Today BWX oversees a high-value portfolio of leading natural brands in Australia, USA, Canada, UK, China, and select other international markets.
-
These brands include Sukin, Andalou Naturals, USPA, Mineral Fusion, and Nourished Life.
-
The company’s growth is driven on the basis of four strategic pillars:
• Connected to Consumers
• Go Global, Go Mainstream
• Get Clean and Get Healthy
• Invest in the Company -
The company has a well rounded portfolio of brands across distribution channels, geographies, product categories and price points. The company is currently active in 24 countries, while in its core home markets of Australia and the USA, there remain significant opportunities for growth. The company’s goal is to grow the natural segment and to compete with mainstream skincare.
-
Growth in core markets will be unlocked in a number of ways: extending ranges, improving shelf navigation, increasing brand recognition and new distribution points. This will require targeted investment, supported by strengthening the company’s relationships with supermarket and specialty retailers in key geographies.
-
Sukin is the number one natural skincare brand in Australia and continues to outperform domestically in the natural segment. Internationally it has significant growth potential, particularly in the USA market across natural and specialty retail. Andalou Naturals continues to dominate as the number one natural USA facial skincare brand and it is expected to gain momentum in the Australian market following its launch in Priceline.
-
In the USA market, Andalou Naturals is outpacing the market growth and the company has launched the innovative Hemp Stem cell derived CannaCell sub-brand to a positive consumer response. Following the completion of a pilot in Priceline, the company sees strong potential upside for Mineral Fusion in Asia Pacific and in select international markets.
VISION & VALUES OF BWX
-
BWX‘s core values are pillared on sustainability. The company’s goal is to use its business to inspire the advancement of plant and mineral based green science, without causing unnecessary harm to the planet. This commitment to the environment is nothing new and has been the cornerstone of the company’s brands since the onset.
-
As part of its focus on sustainability, in 2018 the company reset its APCO (Australian Packaging Covenant Organisation) commitments to include all brands in the BWX portfolio (which formerly only included Sukin). Its approach is to look at the total environmental impact of its products, the product lifecycle and the recyclability of its packaging globally.
MARKET PERFORMANCE OF BWX
-
BWX Limited trades on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX), where investors can buy shares under the stock symbol -BWX. Data from the company’s 2019 financial analysis shows Group revenue of US Dollar 149.5 million. Compared to the prior year, Sukin’s revenue declined primarily due to non-repeating short-term promotions, while Andalou Naturals grew revenue year on year with double-digit growth in the second half. Mineral Fusion’s revenue was impacted due to a delay in roll-out of new brand packaging for the full year and it is regaining market share with positive signs since the re-launch.
-
Nourished Life remained in line with the prior year and recent user experience improvements were designed to drive significant growth. The company’s underlying EBITDA result of US Dollar 21.3 million was in line with the May trading update, with net profit after tax of US Dollar 9.5 million. Most importantly, the health of the company’s brands remains strong and is reflected in their market positions.
-
Sukin is growing its share of market at 4.4% MAT, supported by strong grocery and pharmacy sales. Its performance is outstripping the natural segment which declined 3.7% over the same period. The company’s USA market is building momentum, with channel expansion underway in leading mass channel retailers.
-
The company’s valuable and diversified portfolio means that it is able to benefit in growth from core segments while mitigating potential downturn in other markets.
-
This sets the company in good stead to continue delivering a strong share price with healthy yields in dividends for investors who choose to buy shares.
Buy BWX stocks / shares – A Step by Step Guide how to Buy / Purchase BWX Stocks or Shares online.
Before buying any stock or share one has to consider a few factors.
STEP 1: PROPER RESEARCH IS ESSENTIAL
Upon deciding you want to buy BWX Stocks / Shares, it is critical for the serious investor to do proper research into the said company. Its values should align with those of the investor’s current portfolio. An investor needs to familiarise himself with the basics and history of the company, as well as its leadership and performance in the market. Its company reports should also be scrutinized.
Consultation with a brokerage firm can also assist in determining whether investing in a specific company will complement the investor’s current portfolio. The investment “risk ladder”, which identifies asset classes based on their relative riskiness, is another useful tool when determining which company’s stock / share is the best to buy.
STEP 2: CALCULATE THE AMOUNT OF INVESTMENT IN BWX STOCKS / SHARES
It is important for an investor to monitor his total investment in stock in order to keep his portfolio aligned to his investment strategy. The overall value of his holdings will change with the fluctuation in stock prices, which can throw his portfolio off balance. To determine the amount to invest, multiply the number of shares of each stock by its current market price to determine the total investment in that specific stock. For example, if you own 100 shares of a US Dollar 5 stock, multiply 100 by US Dollar 5 to get US Dollar 500.
STEP 3: DECIDE ON THE STOCK / SHARE ORDER TYPE
Investors can choose from a market order, a limit order, a stop order (also referred to as a stop-loss order) or a buy/sell stop order. It is important to familiarise yourself with each type’s pros and cons before deciding which one will suit your current stock profile best. An investor should be guided in this choice by his investment objective.
STEP 4: OPEN A BROKERAGE ACCOUNT
A brokerage account – also known as taxable investment account – is similar to a retirement account, but more flexible. Where a retirement account has limitations on the amount of money that can be contributed annually, and restrictions on when funds can be withdrawn, a brokerage account is more flexible. The latter has no income or contribution limit and the investor can withdraw his money at any given time. This flexibility, together with its potential investment gains, makes a brokerage account more attractive to serious investors. Brokerage accounts are ideal for goals or savings that are further than five years away, but closer than retirement. It can also supplement an investor’s emergency savings.
