In 1996 Abacus Funds Management Limited is created as a property investment company for high net worth customers. Over the next 3 years, a small development business and several trusts are merged and in 1999 the Abacus Property Group is created.

In 2002 the company expands its portfolio into a property investment group when it buys the business from Abacus Funds Management Limited.
